Founded in early 2000, the Hindu School of KY (HSKY) offers weekly Hindu religion classes for children and youth in the greater Kentucky and Indiana area. We are a 100% volunteer-driven organization that is affiliated to and operates under the auspices of the Hindu Temple of Kentucky, located in Louisville, Kentucky. We offer weekly classes for children on Sundays, at the Hindu Temple of KY to learn about our rich culture, spiritual wisdom and core values in a fun and immersive environment.
Our mission is to educate children and youth of our community, on the culture, spiritual values and heritage of Hindu religion and practices. Our goals are to orient the children of today to the basic tenets of Sanatana Dharma; to empower our children to be proud of their identity and inspire the next generation to become positive contributors to society. Our classes are organized into various grade levels from pre-K to Grade 12, conducted by a dedicated team of volunteer teachers.
The purpose of HSKY is to
To create a fun, secure learning environment to educate children with an integrated curriculum including Shlokas, Bhajans, scripture, stories, quiz, yoga, theater, art and much more.
